MARSH WREN
60” X 10”
About this
painting
On of my favorite spots to sit and take in all
that surrounds me is in
a marsh. There is
always so much going on no matter the season. I chose the large composition of this
painting because I think the size helps with
creating the feeling of the scene.
Marsh
Wrens have up to 200 songs, which
they sing almost continuously during the
breeding season. Their songs resemble the sound of a sewing machine. Some Wrens build between 14 and 22
'dummy' nests, which help to deter
predators. Pacific Chorus
Frogs
are
very common frogs. They
can be anywhere from gray, brown, tan or bright green and can even change
between them.
